Seminole County Virtual School (SCVS)

Florida’s parent choice scholarships expand educational opportunities by allowing public education funds to follow students to the schools and services that best meet their needs.

Recent legislation through House Bill 1 (Florida 2023) allows eligible scholarship students to enroll in courses with Seminole County Virtual School and use scholarship funds to pay for individual courses.

What Is the Cost of Virtual Courses?

Most SCVS virtual courses cost $375 per semester.
Some courses may have a higher fee due to advanced content, specialized materials, or required testing.

What Forms of Payment Does SCVS Accept?

Many scholarships allow families to pay for courses directly through the Educational Marketplace (EMA).

We also accept:

  • Mastercard
  • Check payments

When Can I Start?

Your Day 1 is the official start date of your course.

SCVS virtual courses offer flexible start dates, allowing students to begin when the course is available—regardless of when traditional schools begin their academic year.

Will I Graduate from SCVS?

Students who remain on a scholarship program while taking courses through SCVS are not considered public school students.

Therefore, scholarship students:

  • Cannot receive a diploma from SCVS, SCPS, or FLVS while remaining on the scholarship.
  • May re-enroll in a public school at any time to pursue a traditional high school diploma through:
    • SCVS
    • Seminole County Public Schools
    • Florida Virtual School
    • The State of Florida
